When eBay is already get a huge chunk at 12%+ why are they stripping views if you don't promote?
Seems like a complete scam when eBay takes a big chunk then strips your views because you didn't promote which is normally another 10%+ just complete scam and fraud to the seller ?

I understand your frustration but as a new Seller with only 4 sold items and 2 items for sale you need to also understand that some parts of selling anywhere is a numbers game. The more items one has for sale the more chances are that something will sell.
eBay's income comes from fees and yes, those who engage in paying those fees through Promoted listings, offsite adds, etc. are paying for higher visibility. I abandoned Promoted listings at the end of 2023 and for comparison, the ad rates they wanted in may categories were along the lines of 12 % to have a decent sales increase. So in total with regular fees and suggested ad rates the total they wanted floated between 24% - 25% of each sale ... no good and certainly not sustainable for what I sell.
Now, I will make this observation on the Dutchess Dough Divider Manual dough divider Bakery you have for sale. First, that is a small industrial type piece of bakery equipment and eBay may not be the best venue to try selling it on. It is also listed with Local Pick up only and for good reason. However, since it is such a niche item you would not need to promote it since you probably have very little competition ... yours being only 1 of 11 I find on eBay as of this writing and only 6 being sold in the last 90 days. Local pick up of course also limits your potential Buyers who are willing to come and pick it up.
