When does the seller get paid for local pickup?
I recently purchased an item but won't be able to pick it up for a month (shipping is $73). If I checkout my shopping cart and make the payment now, when does the seller receive the payment? If it is immediately, how can I be sure they will still meet for pickup at the arranged date and time?

Mentor3 years agoA month is pushing the edge of the money back guarantee, so I'm not sure I would buy something that I can't pick up for a month.
The seller might receive your payment in 2 days, or it could be as much as 30 days. It depends on how experienced the seller is and the value of the item.
If the seller will not arrange pickup, then you would open a not received claim. I believe you must wait 10 days after purchase before you can open the claim on a local pick up purchase, but you have 30 days to open the claim. It doesn't matter if the seller has received your payment - eBay will take the funds back if you open a claim.
