When do I get paid for the shipping cost the buyer paid for?
Sorry. I’m sure this is a stupid question but I cannot seem to find the answer. Payout did not include the shipping that the buyer paid. I purchased the EBay label and had thought I would be reimbursed since the buyer paid the shipping. How can they charge both the seller and buyer for shipping?

We see this question a lot from new Sellers who do not understand the cash flow for the shipping end of a transaction. Go to the Sold item and click the order number directly above the main listing picture. Once the details open look over on the right and there is a breakdown of what the Buyer paid and what you paid and were charged in fees.
In basic terms the Buyer pays YOU to purchase the shipping label. You use THAT money to buy the label. eBay sends ONE payout on the transaction so the money the Buyer paid and the money you spent on the label are all figured in to the Payout amount. If you print your labels through eBay you can purchase them at a discount which helps to offset the Fees YOU pay on the amount the Buyer paid YOU to ship.
