When creating a listing, what does 1-2 days shipping handling time mean?
Summary: ghouliegirl asked about the meaning of 1-2 days shipping handling time when creating a listing. inceptions participated in the discussion, but the content of the conversation is not provided.
I created a listing and posted 1-2 days handling time which I thought was a commitment from me (the seller) to get it shipped within that time and when I viewed it again this morning it appears to be correct. Right?
What is confusing me is this...
Shipping
US $8.75 delivery in 2–3 days
UPS Ground Saver
Get it between Thu, May 28 and Fri, May 29 to 47905
Today is a holiday and even if I accept a bid today and get it to UPS by Wednesday how in the world are they calculating that it should be received by Friday when UPS passes it off to the post office? I don't want to mislead people on the delivery time that is auto-populated by Ebay. I have had Ground Saver packages handed off to a local USPS that get tossed around at different USPS Processing Centers which don't make it for weeks.

When you look at your listing, you see the shipping cost and estimated delivery dates to ship to your own zip code. The buyer will see that information for their zip code. You can test this yourself by clicking the See details link next to the shipping information on your listing and then entering a zip code from the furthest state from your location.
