When buyer comes to personally pick up item, does buyer pay eBay first, before picking up?
How does seller know that buyer has actually paid for the item before allowing them to walk away with the item?

When selling with local pick up your buyer can pay using eBay check out as usual and you will see that they have done so on your order details. You can also offer cash at pickup. When your buyer chooses local pick up they will receive a QR code and a digit code. When they pick up you scan the QR code, or enter the digit, into the APP as proof of pick up.
More information on how local pick up works and entering the QR code into the AP:
