When an item sells, do i send the payment request
When an item sells, do i send the payment request, is it sent automatically sent by ebay? Do I need to send anything to the buyer? Do I get a chance to add to the automated payment request? I did this about 15 years ago and it seemed more easily explained. Do I send a message to the buyer thanking for payment? Is it auto? Do I setup a sample of these communications first as a default? I can't seem to follow a logical path to get to these answers. Maybe it's because I am older and everything seems harder.

·2 years agoeBay sends plenty of reminders on its own. Slow or non-payers tend to get upset at the seller for even those, much more if s/he actually sends some of his/her own. AND if you send an invoice as a reminder it might extend the time for payment (supposedly according to eBay it is supposed to do so only if the dollar amount changes, but there are plenty of believable reports by sellers who sent out reminder invoices who were unable to cancel for non-payment until the 5th day after the invoice rather than the 5th day after the transaction.

OP2 years agoThank You. I thought I should send a message or at least add to an automated message? SO, all messages to the buyer are simply generated by what the seller clicks on in the sold items list? I seem to remember setting up some kind of default message thanking, etc. It's been so long since I did this I don't remember. I don't want to screw up my perfect rating because I do something wrong or leave it out.

·2 years agoYou need do nothing there is no clicking needed as I said all Post sales messages are handled by ebay.

All the seller does is await payment.
