When a seller just decides not to ship
This is my first time using eBay so excuse my noobiness--noobiosity? Anyhow, I purchased a video switcher for 425$ on the 6th, today is the 20th and it still hasn't shipped. Seller rarely replies to my messages and when he does it's not to apologize and tell me my item has just shipped. This person is just stringing me along. Is there some chance they get to keep my money w/o ever shipping the device? Is this common on ebay? I'm open to any and all advice.

Sorry this is happening...especially on your first purchase.
When it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
