what would be the proper way to make a sale and get immediate payment?

It seems in my case I have a buyer who will not respond to any questions and will not make payment. There’s about eight hours until the fourth day is up. My watch now has been off the market four days and The buyer did not make payment. I know I can cancel And relist my item - a watch
In the future, what would be the proper way to make a sale and get immediate payment? I just lost four days of selling. what is your advice so that this doesn’t happen to me again?

This is called Autopay by eBay

List as Buy It Now, not auction, and check the box on the listing form for Immediate Payment Required.
