What to do with items after e-Bay case?
Prior to purchasing items from a seller I contacted them with specific questions. The seller has "seller pays for return shipping" selected on the page of the items so I decided to purchase with what I thought was risk free returns. Needless to say the item was not as described with my questions. The seller was supposed to send a return shipping label and said they did, which they did not. The seller also gave me separate addresses to return the items to and some were to another country though all items were bought and shipped within the United States. The seller approved my return but tried to get me to pay out of pocket for return shipping and said I just changed my mind but I said before purchase I asked them specifically what I was looking for and was assured that the items were what I wanted but they were not. Unfortunately I had to open a case with e-Bay which was found in my favor and my purchase was refunded to me. So, after all of that, what do I do with the items that were sent to me originally? I would be happy to return them to the seller. I certainly don't expect something for nothing, but I never heard from them again though all I was asking for was the return shipping label. Since I never had to do this before I didn't know if I keep the items and try to find a new home for them or am I expected to ship them back? Thanks for taking the time to answer my question!

It is commendable that you want to return the items, but once you are refunded you are not required to return the item(s). If the seller wants them back they would have to send you a prepaid return shipping label good in this country or send you the funds to cover your return shipping costs.
Otherwise you can do whatever you want with the items.

OP1 year agoThank you so much for answering my question. It's unfortunate that the seller wouldn't just send the return shipping label especially since it's part of their own return policy. I would've been more than happy to send them back. I feel bad yet still expect the other person to be true to their word as well. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my question and have a great New Year!
