What to do with broken but cash refunded item?

I purchased an item and received it not working 100% as promised, I filed a return with ebay cause the buyer requested no returns. I received a refund, but no return shipping label or any info about returning or what can be done with the item now. I dont want to fix it or give it to my brother only to be asked to return it. What do I do

Once you are refunded, the transaction is over and you are not required to ship the item back.

You can donate it, dispose of it or give it to someone.

I would first reach out to the seller to see if they want to provide a shipping label to ship it back to them. You are not required, but it is a nice gesture to do this first.
