What to do when can't ship for a week, but want to accept offer...
I have a buyers offer that I want to accept, but had to be out of town on an emergency. How do I let the buyer know I want to accept, but can't ship for a week? I tried to contact buyer, but the eBay option has me enter the item number and flips me back to my messages; I can't tell what I am to do from there. The Chat Box doesn't understand when I try to ask for help.

Mentor2 years agoWhen you go to accept the offer, there is a text box to enter a message. You could state that shipping will not be possible until a specific date, and if that is not acceptable, to please ask for a cancellation.

OP2 years agoThank you! I wish I could have done that, but the buyer had already retracted the offer on his own and bought the item at regular price. I am attempting to coordinate a friend to be able to send it for me, and since the sale was made I was able to notify the buyer of the issue. Hopefully the transaction/shipping works out. Thank you again for your help!
