What to do when a Seller sells fake consumable product
I purchased some ROUNDHOUSE PROVISIONS MORNING KICK-DIGESTIVE POWDER-STRAWBERRY LEMONADE 9.1 0Z from the manufacturer about 4 months ago. It came in a 4.5" high jar with a seal that said "sealed for your protection" all over it. The powder had a consistency of fine sugar and smelled like citrus, ie the Stawberry-Lemonaide flavor.
When I ran out, I bought more on ebay. It was exactly the same product.

Their product came in a 3 5/8" high container, there was no factory seal, just a foil seal with no protection lettering. The consistency of the product is like Talcum powder, and it smells like grass, possibly alfalfa. Definitely not citrus smell.
This product is obviously fake, and people are unknowingly consuming it. Not knowing what is in it. Scary.
So what should happen when something like this is discovered? Selling fake foodstuff is serious. ebay should take action for this.

Mentor1 year agoThe first thing you should do is to file a case for an "Item not as described". Then report the seller to eBay customer service. eBay normally requires several bad reports about a seller from multiple different buyers before they will take any action.

OP1 year agoI found that out that they don't take action since I am the 1st possibly. It should be different for foodstuffs. People could be poisoned or get damage to organs eating who knows what.
