What to do when a Seller says he will not sell at the auction end price?
Hi - First time in 20 years using eBay that a seller has indicated that they will not sell an item at my winning bid. I had paid before I saw an email from them saying they will not sell at that price - what to do?

The seller will be required to cancel the transaction and issue you a refund.
If they do not, you will have to wait until the estimated date of delivery has passed to file a Refund Request due to item not received.

OP2 years agoThanks for the reply. Yes, I did send an email asking them to cancel but have not heard back, though I note that they have relisted the item. Is there anyway to escalate the process with eBay - the item was over $1K and I'm not too happy having to wait to get my money back.

You should not have asked the seller to cancel, it was their responsibility to do so and that way eBay would assess a defect on their account. Hopefully they do the right thing and refund you promptly.
