What to do if person suspects item is not authentic

I purchased a high end perfume that I had years ago. I opened the box and put the bottle away. I wore it a week later and there's no fragrance but box has long been thrown away. Please advise.

@marinamartinelli When you say you threw the box away, was this listed as a NEW product? And was the box the manufacturer's packaging or the shipping box that the Seller sent it in?

Below is eBay's policy on cosmetics and it includes perfumes and what is acceptable to sell. If there is no fragrance then it is not as described in my opinion and a return for Item not as described could be filed BUT if it was new and you opened it then the Seller can withhold part of the refund because it is being returned in a condition other than how it was sold.
