What to do if buyer returned empty box?
Summary: pressescstudio describes being involved in a contentious eBay transaction where they sold a juicer for $700. I've been scammed out of $700.00 I wasn't making much from the sale since it was a 70lb item and the shipping was astronomical but I was getting a feeling the user was looking to scam me. I sent over the screen shots to ebay to show them it was a set up. The buyer took the juicer apart claiming it was damaged and dirty. I purchased the item for $2500 new and it was still in good shape.
Why is he allowed to get away with this? Even the return shipping label was marked as 30lbs ( it was not) and the shipping I paid was over 70lbs. I don't understand how he is allowed to essentially robbed me and be fully refunded.

"Before shipping, I disclosed the juicer was used, working and undamaged and even offered to cancel. The buyer declined twice and told me to ship it. After receiving it, he completely disassembled this 70-lb commercial machine and now wants to return it. I do not feel safe accepting or operating a machine that has been dismantled by the buyer, nor can I verify it will be returned in its original condition with all parts. I cannot accept something that you have openly disassembled and did who knows what. I will not have a package come from you into my home without knowing it’s safe anymore. "Actually, if it didn’t sell, I was just going to start juicing again since I paid so much for it. The objective is not to steal your money, it’s to get things out of the house that I am not using. It’s hard for a machine to get so damaged at a house, and if it is damaged, then it would’ve happened during shipping. I had it packed professionally which is why I am so confused. I’m not going to pay out-of-pocket to fix a juicer you got dirt cheap, disassembled and are berating me in order to get your way. I don’t know why you would buy something that you are unsure of. There are more pure juicers on eBay with better photos or new. And if you were that anxious about purchasing it, you could’ve asked me to take photos from behind, but I’m just rapidly getting rid of stuff sitting around which is why I sold it for so cheap. I specifically contacted the customer (should be a record) and asked if there was any damage to the vents or the edges, etc. (as I intended it as a gift), he acknowledged it was used, but that it had no damage anywhere; but it was damaged all over; the entire vent, side cover, top cover, the juice catching plate, inner part of the arm, inner part of the chamber and wall (3 damaged points, 2 pieces which shipping damage wouldn t be able to reach, had to be done prior)""It isn t as described. OP1 month agoI re-reported him again and let eBay know what happened. I was able to submit an appeal and eBay looked over the case and found the evidence to be in my favor. I am grateful a real live associate saw what was happening.
