What the hell just happened?
I was bidding on an item and waited tilll the end. When I placed my bid, it immediately went to form of payment and caused me to miss my opportunity. It used to let me win before asking for payment. This caused me to lose my bid which was higher than the winning bid. I'm **bleep**.

What happened is the Seller's account had eBay's Auto-pay added which requires a payment method prior to bidding or sending an offer. eBay adds to selling accounts but does not advise the Seller so they may not even know it is turned on.
You can message the Seller and ask them if they will turn those settings off.
