Hello good day, I am trying to get some advice on an item I purchased recently. The item is a tool case, RIDGID Pro Gear System (without tools) about 22.2 inches x 13.8 inches x 12.2 inches.
This tool case is one item and definitely more than two pounds and impossible to fit in an envelope.
The item is paid for on May 4 delivered on May 11, as usual a tracking number is provided through eBay.
Fast forward more than a week later I received an envelope with the same tracking number provided through eBay, so I contacted the seller only for them to tell me that the item was delivered on May 6, then after a couple more days of conversation the seller is now saying the shipped two different packages and the correct
package was delivered on May 6 and also provided a second tracking number 176321943.
I have been searching for this tracking number with no results, I don't know which Courier this is.
This feels like a scam.
A case is open with eBay the seller is giving eBay 1 tracking number that was delevered( item the size of an envelope) and giving me two numbers when I only ordered one item.

I'm sorry that happened. This is a variation on the fake tracking number scam.
I also don't know what carrier 176321943 is and can't find it on https://www.17track.net/en for instance.
My advise is as follows:
1) if you opened an Item Not Received case, it will close in the sellers favor since he has a 'delivered' tracking number. Don't panic.
2) When that happens, open a Return Request case, you will return what you got, an envelope.
You should open a Return Request. The reason could be "Different from what I ordered > Didn't Match Description" if the item you got was not what was shown and described.
Ask for your money back, don't ask for a replacement item.
You can open your return request here. Just click the photo and follow the instructions.

Do not close your return request until you either have your refund in hand or you have the replacement item. Do not close it because the seller promises you something.
If the seller is overseas and doesn't promptly refund you when you open the case, you'll have to ask the seller to provide you with a return address and the money to pay to ship the envelope to them.
Check back here if/when that happens for further instructions.
