What should be done when suspicious deals are made on eBay
When you purchase a item way below market value on eBay "because your smart and current on value of merchandise". And the sell possibly made a typo. But accepted your payment and then it takes several months to end up with the evidence that was what happened by means of not receiving it shouldn't you be compensated not only for the original loss of funds but due the cost to replace it in full that's just good business if you ask me no instead eBay wants to just refund my original payment and nothing for the lost time I spent on the phone and online fuigaring this all out so please let me know what you think should be rewarded I intend to appeal this but having lots of trouble doing so if you ask me it's borderline false advertising.

eBay has a "money back guarantee" not a "get what you ordered even if the seller does not actually have it" guarantee, or a "get your time and effort back" guarantee.
eBay will only return the payment you originally made to the seller; not anything else. eBay cannot force a seller to actually deliver anything.
In general, you can avoid a lot of headaches by choosing to purchase only from established sellers that have recent and past positive feedback as a seller for selling items in the same category that you intend to buy. If someone is selling a dozen apple watches, but has no feedback, or only has feedback as a buyer, or only has feedback for selling dress patterns or fishing lures (actual examples I have seen), perhaps wait until they have a track record of positive feedback for selling electronics before you buy from them. Avoid deals that are "too good to be true".
If a seller appears to have made a pricing mistake, keep in mind that some sellers would rather cancel as "out of stock" and take the hit to their eBay accounts rather than take the hit to their bottom lines. And deals that are "too good to be true" are often used as bait for scams.

OP10 months agoNo what I'm going 2 do is not do business on eBay anymore it's a not funny joke to waste people's time especially when they don't have much left the way it is ty for your commit non the less

You will find that other marketplaces have very similar guarantees, and that none will compensate you for lost time when you purchase an item "way below market value" that turns out to be not as described.
