What protection, if any, does the buyer have if they state they do not accept returns?
What protection, if any, does the buyer have if they state they do not accept returns? Looking at a coffee maker listed as new. I've messaged asking if it is in original packaging with no answer yet and what if it does not work when it is received? I've read the e-Bay money back guarantee/ return guide lines and looks like the buyer is just out of luck if the seller lists as no returns accepted. Your insights would be appreciated.

The seller's stated return policy only applies to "remorse" returns.
If an item is not as described or does not arrive, eBay's money back guarantee takes precedence.
