What now
Ok so I wrote a couple days ago, thinking it was a scam. When I wrote the other day I said I thought my seller or item was a scam, I wrote the community and they said to do my research first and that I already committed on paying for my auction item. Which is true, I did commit so I will pay for it. and I had by the 28th to pay (the 28th when I got paid) so the morning of the 28th at 4:23am I paid for my purchase. They accepted my payment.
now today, I see a message from the seller… that someone already bought and paid for the item. Umm excuse me? I have some questions …….
HOW??? HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? THEY CAN SELL IT OUT FROM UNDER ME? WHY WAS MY ACCOUNT CHARGED IF IT WAS SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE?? WHEN WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK THEN?

The topic you posted the other day may have information in it that could explain your seller's message.

"So still looking at seller and messages me 3 times about being paid."
Problem #1
In it you stated the seller had just started selling. Because they just joined, they probably did not read far enough into ebay's Getting Started information, to find out about the 21-30 day hold ebay places on the first few payments a new seller receives. If you did pay right away the seller's account is probably showing your payment status as Pending. That could be the reason why they now say it sold to someone else. They may relist it.
If you want the item reply to their message and tell them if your payment is showing Pending, to do a Google search for "Payments on hold - ebay" If they do that they will get the info they need to complete the transaction and ship the item.
#2 Did you Make an Offer or actually bid on an auction? Had you done either your payment method would have been charged on the day the auction ended or the offer was accepted. You may have committed to buy but what date was that on? Items are not yours until you pay for them, and if you only paid yesterday, someone else may have bought the item out from under you before you paid.
We need more info about when you committed to buy and when you actually paid.

Mentor1 year agoIf the seller does not cancel and refund or else provide tracking that shows delivery, the day after the last estimated delivery date, if nothing has arrived, file an "item not received" case with eBay, and if the seller still does not refund your or provide tracking that shows delivery within three business days, on the fourth day you can ask eBay to step in and refund you.
If the seller does provide tracking that shows delivery but nothing arrives, post a follow up here for further instructions.

Mentor1 year agoIt sounds like the seller may have cross-posted the item on another platform. When this happens and the seller only has 1 item, s/he has to file a Cancellation for Out of Stock. Make sure that is the reason s/he selects. You will automatically be refunded back to the funding source.
