What is this commit to buy Bull**bleep**? Put several items in my cart to decide later and compare.
Now they are saying that I am commited to buy. Have purchsed from Ebay for years. But this may be a gamechanger for me if Ebay is going along with this.

Adding items to your cart isn't a commitment to buy and you can use the option to remove them. If you clicked Buy It Now however, you committed to buy. This is no different from how it has always worked.

OP8 months agoI only put them in my cart to save time later if I found something I wanted more, and I also did it to see if they would combine shipping since it would all fit in an envelope, like many of their competitors do. It shocked me when I got an email. I have purchased that vendors items quite a few times, but no more.

The only way you could be committed to buy is if you click Buy It Now (or won an auction or accepted a Best Offer). Clicking Buy It Now not only commits you to pay for the item, but it adds the item to your cart.
Again, clicking Add item to your cart is not a commitment to buy and you can remove the item if it was added to your cart that way.
