What is the point of feedback?
I don't know why Ebay even has the feedback option anymore if they just remove the negative feedback and do nothing about untrustworthy sellers.
I purchased a ring and the description said the stone was a natural stone, took it to 2 jewelry store who both said it was man made. Left negative feedback and Ebay removed it. I complained to Ebay and they said they would do something about it but so far nothing has been done. That was a month ago.
Miss the old Ebay, this new Ebay sucks

As a buyer, I use feedback to distinguish between experienced sellers and inexperienced sellers.
While some sellers may be able to get some feedback comments removed, not all sellers can do that, nor can all feedback necessarily be removed. Getting a feedback comment removed may hide a specific issue with one transaction, but that will not make an inexperienced seller seem more experienced, nor will it hide a pattern of problems over a long period of time.

eBay may not be in a position to determine whether a feedback comment is absolutely true or not; in some situations, even true statements may be removed if the comment violates policy.
Some comments are removed, whether users think they should be or not, or whether users agree that policy has been broken or not.
Buyers that successfully use the money back guarantee and that also follow feedback policy are much less likely to have a feedback comment they have left removed -- though it may still happen for various reasons, either valid or invalid.
