What is stopping my funds when I just went through the process 4 weeks ago?
Summary: dmsentra is experiencing difficulties setting up payment methods on eBay due to issues with name discrepancies and bank account verification. The field for correcting their name is uneditable, preventing them from resolving the mismatch. They have attempted multiple times to connect their bank account, but keep encountering errors despite confirmation from their bank that there is no issue on their end. inceptions suggested formatting the name in a specific way, but dmsentra is unable to edit the grayed-out fields.
I had issues getting payments set up 4 weeks ago, now this next sale is the same hassle. When I try to connect to a debit card the message at the bottom of the window says "If you want to use this card for payouts, the name on your card must exactly match your eBay account." Everything matches except my middle initial, that box is grayed out so I can't correct it. When I try to connect to the bank account instead I go through the verifcation process and after connecting with the bank it says "We cannot use this account at this time." "close". More than half a dozen time over 4 days I've tried to connect. I talked to the bank and there is no block on the account from their end. WTH am I supposed to do now?

You can enter your name on your eBay account like this:
First Name
Jane. M.
Last Name
Doe

OP2 weeks agoI don't understand what you're telling me. The name box is grayed out, I can't enter or edit anything to do with it.

However I recommend checking a few things as eBay will NOT tell you what doesn't match for security reasons.
1. Verify that the name and address on your eBay account matches your brick and mortar checking account and government ID EXACTLY. I had to had my middle name to my eBay account so it would match my checking account and drivers license. You will need to provide your SS#. You can not use a PO box for your registration address as seller but you can use it for your ship from and to addresses.
2. Make sure the ACH routing number is the correct one to use for these type of deposits. Verify this with your bank.
3. Contact Customer service

Then Type Verify Checking account in the chat bot box on the lower right. (Do not add any additional information)
Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.
