what is in the "final value fee"?
What percentage of the sale becomes the "final value fee"?
Why isn't the total cost of selling on eBay shown at the time of listing ?

·2 years agoThe final value fee is charged on the TOTAL amount collected from the buyer (item price + shipping cost + sales tax paid by the buyer). Since eBay doesn’t know where the buyer for the item will live, so it’s not possible to know the shipping cost (if the item has calculated shipping), or what the sales tax will be before it is purchased, it would be impossible for them to tell you anything precise about the fees.
