What is eBay's policy on counter fit auto parts
I purchased Toyota/Lexus Iridium
Denso spark plugs that are total counterfeit. I need to pay for shipping back to China.

Mentor3 years ago@onda-54 Made in Japan and sold out of China? Is that what I am to understand here? Use the Report item link on the listing to alert eBay of a problem.

OP3 years agoWhat I think is made in China sold in China, and the packaging was well done looked official., and the sellers page had some pictures of real Iridium plugs on it. He offered me $20. to remove a negative comment on hi page. F him.

·3 years agoWhat makes you think they are counterfeit? Densco says if they are manufactured outside of Japan, Indonesia, China and USA, then it is not genuine.
They've sold hundreds of items, nearly a thousand, including many Densco spark plugs and you're the only one that claimed they're counterfeit.

OP3 years agoFirst the spark plugs were not made of Iridium you can tell by just looking at them, also they were labeled made in Japan Denso Iridium plugs are made in America. There is a great YouTube about counterfeit Toyota parts by car care nut called Toyota counterfeit parts, watch it it's a very good video

Mentor3 years agoThe policy is the same for any counterfeit item. It is not allowed. They are illegal to sell.
You don't have to pay for return shipping (no matter what the seller says) when you receive an item that is not as described.
You have 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label (or in this case advance you the money for return shipping) or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

OP3 years agoI think that I am getting an auto response from eBay for the return that the seller can't supply a paid return label.
I really think that eBay knows or cares that this seller is trading in counterfeit Denso spark plugs . BUYER BEWARE!

·3 years agoNo, the seller can't provide a return shipping label.
They have to send the funds to you to cover the return shipping.
They can send you the funds through Pay Pal.

Mentor3 years agoAs I wrote, if the seller doesn't provide a return label (or the money for shipping the return, which rarely happens), go back to the case and ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund and then you can dispose of the batteries.

So the seller has responded saying, please send me your collection account to me and I will pay the shipping label cost. Is this just a part of the scam? to get personal information? what's your thoughts

Mentor3 years agoIt sounds like you didn't follow the advice to ask eBay to step in on your case on day 4. Had you done that, you'd have this all behind you now.
It's hard to tell if this applies to your purchase, but most of the listings for this seller state the item location is New Jersey. If that's the case for your order, you would only need to ship to New Jersey and the seller would have been able to provide a label. Check the listing. If it says New Jersey is the item location, go back to the case and ask eBay to step in now.
Then report the seller at this link for violating the item location misrepresentation policy. (Seller states the item is located in New Jersey but is sent from China.)

OP3 years agoHi, so I have reached out to eBay Help and eBay has contact the seller, and the responds to me from the seller not to eBay, is no offer to send me a paid shipping label just wanting my collection account information so the seller can send me money to ship the parcel back. I just want a prepaid shipping label emailed to me. He emailed me the return address and it is in China $132. to ship it for $ 114. in counterfeit spark plugs. makes no scene.

Mentor3 years agoNo you don't, seller will have to forward funds for you to return. Do not use your own funds.
Open a Return Request for an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED, counterfeit. Seller will pay for the return, if he wants it back, and/or refund. If no response by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this, if not resolved.
