What is an eBay Commerce charge?
Last month a nearly $10 eBay charge appeared in my PayPal account the day after I made a $13 purchase on eBay. I have been able to find out practically nothing about what this was for. I have both a card and a bank account attached to my PayPal account; I had been paying the bill with my card usually. I've heard a some comments about a "commerce" charge? What is this?

OP3 years agoI finally was able to get hold of a live person at eBay. The "eBay Commerce" mystery charge turned out to be a cosmetic charge that my wife made on the account. I have no idea why it was billed under that title. I should have recorded the charge the way I normally record my charges.

Mentor3 years agoAs I responded several days ago, your eBay purchases will show on your card as eBay Commerce. This has been the case since eBay phased in Managed Payments over the past several years.

Mentor3 years agoeBay purchases show on your statement under eBay Commerce. (It's not a "commerce charge.") Are you sure you didn't make two purchases? Check your eBay Purchase History. Or could you have made a purchase using guest checkout (in which case, the purchase will not be included in your Purchase History)?
