Mentor1 year agoFor auctions or offers if the seller requires a payment method in advance, you may have to provide a different payment method such as a credit or debit card that can handle a reversible payment hold. That payment method will be remembered by eBay for the next time you need to provide a payment method for an auction or offer, and that method will be indicated on your eBay Payments page.
You should still be able to use your gift card for buy-it-now items or auctions or offers where the seller does not require a payment method in advance, provided you do not exceed the gift card limits of $1000 per day or $1500 per month, or four separate cards or codes per transaction.
