What is a dormant account?
A seller just sent me photos of an item I purchased before shipping the item to me. They said the reason is because I'm "using an old dormant ebay account". What does that mean?

Mentor2 years agoA dormant account is one that has past history but little or no recent history (as judged by looking at feedback).
Aside from one recent feedback left, all of your feedback is from more than ninety days ago.
Dormant accounts are ripe targets for hijacking compared to active accounts, since an active account holder is more likely to quickly notice a changed password or address, or fraudulent purchases or sales compared to the holder of a dormant account.
Large gaps in feedback or drastic changes in user behavior can be signs of a hijacked account.
