What if I need more time on a return?
I've been going back and forth with a seller on a product they sent that doesn't work. We are still in negotiations, but sometimes it will be days between communications. Time is running out for my return. Should I cancel the return and restart it? No one at eBay is actually responding to my questions.

Do not close your return if you still want a refund. You will not be able to reopen it if you close it.
If you filed a "not as described" return, the seller will have three business days to refund you outright or else provide for tracked return shipping and refund upon return. If the seller does not cooperate at any point, you have up to twenty-one business days from opening the case to ask eBay to step in and force a refund before the case automatically closes without a refund.
