what if a buyer send back a unit to the seller as defective and the item works fine?
Buyer bought unit, recieved it and reported it as defective. Seller paid freight to return and when rec'd the item was returned, it was found to be fully functional. Who's entitled to what here?

Your only option is to issue a full refund. You can then report the buyer for misusing the money back guarantee, but that will not get you any financial consideration.
Only top rated sellers who offer 30 day returns have any protection from false not as described returns.

OP9 months agoHi and thank you so much for your reply. That's pretty disappointing news through. After 20 years on EB at 100% I got my first return and for no reason other than the buyer had no clue how to use the product. Lost my shirt on this deal so its sad that EB does not take better care of its sellers right? I sent my buyer video evidence that his claims were false and that the unit was fine. I think I will give him till the morning to see if he is a gentleman and does the right thing. If not, I will certainly take your advise and report the incident. Thanks again for taking the time to help me! Eric
