What happened to the original eBay that was so great???
I listed 2 books. Found out later that one had an insertion fee and the other did not.
why would this be?
i didnt sell either one so i took them down. Ebay still wants their $2.
and they want to charge $20 to dispute it.
is this a communist site ?

$2 could be a subtitle fee. Listing upgrades are charged at insertions and are not refundable if you cancel the listing.
This is not anything new.

OP7 months agoI do know that the insertion fee is not new but the $20 dispute fee is new to me. There are many other platforms to sell on. No one else charges a silly dispute fee. I will just close the account and move over to another platform. You dont gain or retain business by making silly rules.

Mentor7 months ago@duanesanders. $20 Dispute fees are only charged if your buyer files a chargeback with their funding source and you lose the case.

OP7 months agoThanks for the reply comics guy. I am the seller and i need to be able to speak with the ebay team directly to discuss things. The screen showing the $20 fee did not explain much so it left me to interpret what it meant.
I used to be able to speak with support. It has become a very big ordeal to get to anyone if at all. Always some automated support that gets me nowhere. I could search for days through help docs and get nowhere.
just need simplicity.
time is money and i have waisted too much here today.
have a great day.

Mentor7 months ago@duanesanders. eBay will tell you the same thing that a $20 dispute fee is charged when a buyer files a chargeback with their bank or credit card and you are required to refund the buyer.
