What happened to eBay's log-in flow?

I only occasionally use eBay, and in the past, logging in was straightforward. It is August of 2025, and I listed several items for sale, however, in the past few days there have been times when i could not log in. After entering the correct credentials, eBay presents a capcha, I enter the correct response, and it then requests another to verify my identity, and it keeps repeating the process over and over. Nothing on my PC platform was changed. Is anyone else encountering this behavior? What is the fix?

Try another browser or another link. Or a private or incognito browser window.

If you are using a VPN or hotspot, that can cause issues as well.
