What does “unusual selling activity “ mean?
Just received email from eBay that begins “We’ve detected unusual selling activity on your account.”. I sold an item yesterday and I haven’t sold (or purchased) anything in a while. Is that why it’s been flagged as “unusual”? They placed a hold on the payout. Am I supposed to do anything or just wait until the item is delivered?

Mentor2 weeks agoYou haven't sold anything in a long time. I suppose that is unusual. Make sure you print your shipping label using ebay shipping, and that you have the label scanned by the postal clerk at the counter. ebay may hold the payout for up to 30 days. They want to make sure the funds are available in case the buyer files a case.

Mentor2 weeks agoHi @mimar8180
I see two things that look suspicious. One is that you sold a pre-owned jacket and then relisted it. Even if you had two identical jackets, you used the same photo for pre-owned items.
You also put a website name in your description which is a policy violation. You need to description the item in your description rather than send the buyer off eBay for more description information.
As a new seller, you can expect your funds to be held for up to 31 days.

OP2 weeks agoThey’re not the same pictures of the same jacket. I have two different sizes of the same jacket. I just took the same pictures of each of them. I’ll remove the second one and sell it some other time. And thank you for letting me know about the website reference. Didn’t know that.
I appreciate your help.
