what does "open box" mean
Looking at flyrod from AvidMax & it is listed as "used" and "open box". Trying to understand what these labels mean. Particularly "open box". Does that mean it may be missing the rod tube or sock? Damaged?

OP2 years agoThank you "comics-scifi-collectables" for your response. I took your advice & called the seller for clarification. I believe the seller was trying to be very honest in describing a "floor model" piece of equipment that could have been handled by customers making it technically both an "open box" & a "used" piece. I now will feel more confident in how I choose to bid on this item.

Mentor2 years ago@brando2go8 I have not seen an item listed as Open Box and USED on the same listing. The seller has to choose one or the other when listing.
I recommend contacting the seller and checking the listing carefully to make sure all of the parts are there and if there are any defects.
