What do I do when the item I purchased months ago never arrived even after asking for eBay to step in?
I ordered an item in August of this year, and it was very delayed. First the seller would delay creating the label for quite a while, then the item apparently gets lost in transit. Even with eBay stepping in nothing happens, and afterwards the seller offers to send me another. I haven’t heard from them since. I just want to know if there’s anything I can do at this point, because this is just ridiculous.

You have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date on the order to open an item not received refund on eBay. I has been longer than that you need to open the red with your funding source.

OP1 month agoThe problem is I did open one, and nothing happened. It wouldn’t let me do another since it said it’s closed.

When the seller does not respond or resolve the issue within 3 business days, you can ask eBay to step in and help. You must ask them to step in within 21 business days of your original request or the case will close and you will not receive a refund. Unfortunately some sellers will try to delay long enough to have the case close. That is why it is important to monitor deadlines so you don't miss them.
At this point you need to open one with your funding source.
