What do I do as a seller if the buyer is saying I sent them a damaged item.
I had two items, one sealed and one open box just to take pictures. They sent me a picture of a broken stand (item is a camera).
How do I know they are not trying to scam me? I didn't send them a broken item

Mentor9 months agoItems can be broken during shipping at any time. eBay will side with the buyer and in most cases the shipping carrier will say you did not package the item properly and deny an insurance claim. So to protect your account you need to ask them to return the item for a full refund. Do not make a refund prior to the item being returned. Then the ball is in the buyers court. If they are trying to scam you then the requirement to return the item first will cut down on the scam.
