What Customs duties for objects over 100 years old and under US$900 from France to USA ?
Bonjour,
I would send items in DDP formula from France and I can't get a response, especially not from the Ebay chatbot who insists on calling me (in France and not speaking English!!).

Mentor11 months ago@malau365 Custom fees are charged based on the country of manufacturer, not the country the item was shipped from UNLESS no manufacturer can be determined.
My best advice is to look the HS tariff code for the item
You can use this site to look up the tariff code. Try to describe the item in basic terms.

Then you can use a US government site to get an idea of what the buyer would have to to pay.
Keep in mind that if you use DHL, Fed Ex, or UPS they charge the buyer Brokerage fees on TOP of the tariffs.

Many thanks for your help , I tried this adress , the HS number is 83... but french SH is 97....( due to the time of manufacture) ; All my items have been made in France between 70 to 220 years ago.
Fedex, Ups or Dhl to which you can add Chronopost are overpriced and don't give the US customs value.
I think I will stop selling on Ebay.com

Mentor11 months ago@malau365 Many international sellers have started blocking shipping to the US due to the complicated Tariffs. 😞
Just list on eBay.fr and then block shipping to the US in your account settings.
Also under buyer requirements block buyers in locations you do not ship to.
Let me know if you need links for those settings and I can get them for you later.

OP11 months agoJe me suis inscrite sur Ebay.fr il y a 10 ans mais dès que j'ai obtenu les avis favorables nécessaires, j'ai migré sur Ebay.com ( il y a une énorme différence entre les service d'aide de ces deux sites: je n'ai jamais pu obtenir de solution pour quoi que ce soit de leur part, même chose pour une cliente qui s'en plaignait: je lui ai recommandé de demander l'aide de Ebay.com et son problème à été résolu)
Pour finir étant inscrite sur Ebay.com, je ne peux pas exclure les USA .

OP11 months agoI registered on Ebay.fr 10 years ago, but as soon as I got the necessary positive reviews, I migrated to Ebay.com (there is a huge difference between the support services of these two sites: I was never able to get a solution for anything from them, and the same was true for a customer who complained about this: I recommended that she seek help from Ebay.com, and her problem was solved). Finally, since I am registered on Ebay.com, I cannot exclude the US.

Mentor11 months agoHaving an account on eBay France is your best option if you want to keep selling on eBay.
If you have problems on eBay France then the best thing is to ask for help from fellow sellers on the eBay community page>

OP11 months agoThe Ebay.fr sellers' community has few topics and even fewer answers.
But I "ve taken the time to look (thanks to your suggestion) and when I see the "quality" of the questions, I understand that the 2 or 3 members who answer have extraordinary patience.
I'll keep looking for shipping solutions . (wait and see!!)
