what are the ebay bid increments on auctions?

My auction just ended but the 2nd bid was only 4 cents higher

The minimum bid increment in the $0.01 to $ 0.99 price range is Five cents.
d***2 placed an automatic bid of $ 1.00 on 2/15 but they only had to meet the starting bid price of .99cents.
On 2/18 (4***i ) placed a $1.05 bid meeting the minimum bid requirement of .05 cents because the price they had to beat was .99 cents beating the $ 1.00 bid by .04 cents.

$0.01 - $0.99 $0.05
$1.00 - $4.99 $0.25
$5.00 - $24.99 $0.50
$25.00 - $99.99 $1.00
$100.00 - $249.99 $2.50
$250.00 - $499.99 $5.00
$500.00 - $999.99 $10.00
$1000.00 - $2499.99 $25.00
$2500.00 - $4999.99 $50.00
$5000.00 and up $100.00
Occasionally you'll see bids increase by less. This means that someone else placed a bid just slightly higher than an automatic bid amount. An auction can be one by as little as a penny at the very end.

FYI. Never start an auction below the minimum price you will accept if there are only one or two bids.

OP6 months agoThank you. After 30 years on here you would think I should know that. I guess I dont run that many auctions.
