Weird situation didnt recieve item
So i ordered a camera from someone and even though the person didnt have much feedback i thought it was safe because it wasnt a newer camera and it wasnt just some crazy good deal. well it shipped to me but the first time it made it to my house it was somehow forwarded to LA, California, then came back to my house in mississippi where it says it was attempted to be delivered, but that nobody lived at my house and there was no forwarding address and it was then returned to sender. i opened a case and since it said it was delivered the first time on ebays site they denied my case. well i then sent them screenshots from the usps tracking website where it shows all the details, then they tell me that it was attempted to be delivered and they closed my case. This is a $750 camera, atleast to me this isnt throw away money. My Postal person knows me and never would have put down that nobody lived at the house and anyone else attempting to deliver couldnt have thought nobody lived there because my dogs would have gone crazy with anyone walking on the road in front of the house, let alone going into my carport. And two days later, one of my other orders was delivered where it always is with no issues. So could this be a new kind of scam. What else could this be and how could this happen, and what should my next move be. this makes no sense to me. ebays suggestion is to get hold of the seller but thats why i originally opened the case since they wouldnt reply. just wondering what this could be. thank you for any suggestions or help.

Mentor3 years agoFirst contact the post office and ask whether the tracking number was correctly associated with your address. If not you'll need this statement on USPS letterhead to include with your appeal. Otherwise, open a dispute with the payment processor.
