Weird message

Question

I just listed an item and I received a message from lesterashley-9060 saying I need to pass quick account ownership confirmation. I have no idea what this is about.

That is a SCAM, don't click anything.

When eBay sends you a message, it will be addressed to you by full name, it will come from eBay, and it will be in your message folder: "From eBay".

An eBay message will not come from a random username.

eBay won't ask you to copy and paste something into your browser address bar. (That is something scammers do.)

I suggest you report that message using the 3 dots ⋯ in the upper right. Select Scam as the reason.

Add that user name to your blocked list
