Weird experience as a seller
Hi Everyone
So I put an expensive item up for sale, that was large so shipping was $160, and someone had been contacting me to lower my price and seemed to really want the item. So I lowered my price for them and we had a whole conversation about what they were going to do with the item and how much it meant to them.
Once I approved their offer I shipped the item. The following week I left for Brazil for two weeks. While I was gone the item was returned to me as FedEx tried to deliver it three times, and it was sitting in their pickup center for a week.
So I contacted the buyer to find out what was happening and heard nothing back from them.
The money was on hold in my account but Ebay just released the money to me today.
Is there some kind of scam I don't know about? Part of me wonders if this person got into some kind of accident and was unable to receive the shipment or even contact me. Will they come for the money later? Will Ebay account for my shipping cost if the buyer comes back for the money?
Anyhow, I'm confused as to what's going on. I also wish you could give a buyer or transaction a bad review.

Mentor1 year agoI would set the package aside until the buyer contacts you. If s/he still wants the item, s/he will have to repay the shipping price before you reship. If the buyer no longer wants the item, you can refund item price only. ebay will refund the sales tax if any was collected.
