Why isnt the packaging mentioned..I have buyers say shipping is high, but prices are up, the packaging also makes it weigh more..otherwise we eat the extra that is charged..where’s the answer?

YOU, as an eBay seller, need to plan ahead. Â
Â
Here's the step-by-step process of what I do (as my selling ID):Â Â
1.   I decide whether my item needs to be mailed in a box or if an envelope is sufficient.  Â
2.   If it can be mailed in an envelope, I weigh the item and the envelope together. Â
3.   If my item will go in a box, I make sure I already have a box of an appropriate size.Â
4.  I decide if the item itself needs to be bubble-wrapped, and whether I need to add crumpled-up paper or packing peanuts to the box. Â
5.  I put the item into a box with some bubble wrapping and/or paper and/or packing peanuts. Â
6.   THEN I weigh the box, with all the packing material and the item inside it. Â
The packaged weight is what I enter into the "weight" field(s) when I create my listing:Â the weight of the item in packaging that is ready for the USPS or FedEx or UPS, whichever carrier you choose.Â
The size dimensions of the box or envelope are also what I enter into the "package size" fields. Â
