we can not deliver this item now
Seller messaged me and said: "Sorry to inform you that we can not deliver this item now. But if you want we can ship this item, when it will restock in our inventory."
What should I do now to not get scammed. I just want my money back, I ordered via PayPal through eBay and there was "eBay Money Back Guarantee".
Thanks,

OP8 months agoK, a hour later, I got a message said "Your order is canceled" and "We issued you a refund. You should receive it in 3-5 business days." and it also said "Cancellation reason: Buyer asked to cancel". I mean I didnt ask to cancel, I wanted the product, but I did ask for my money back if the weren't going to send me it. Either way, I do see the refund in paypal account. So all is good. I just want to make sure I dont get caught in some scam. Thanks for your help!

Mentor8 months agoSince seller lied about the reason for cancellation, you can report them, if you like.
You can report the seller here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022
1. Select The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies and click Continue.
2. On the next page, enter the seller's ID and select Other.
3. In the comment section, write "In order to avoid a defect, seller cancelled order stating that I requested the cancellation ."

OP8 months agoK, I asked them to cancel and they replied back with "Please send us cancelletion request. Thanks." instead.
Is this okay, or does this make possible to be scammed somehow if I initiate the cancellation instead of them.
Thanks again,

Mentor8 months agoThey want you to ask so they are off the hook and don't have a strike on their account and pay fees for not having the item in stock. The choice is yours, let them off the hook, or wait and file a Not Received case when they don't send your item. Either way you will get your money back.

OP8 months agoK, I messaged them back and asked them to cancel the transaction. I'll see what happens, thank you!

Mentor8 months agoYes, and most sellers will do so as there is no penalty if you ask to cancel.

Mentor8 months agoAsk seller to cancel the transaction. If he does not and the item or refund doesn't arrive before the estimated delivery date file an Item Not Received dispute to get refunded.
