Washington state tax on precious metals
The new Washington State sales tax on precious metals is for bullion ,coins and processed metals only as stated in the law.Raw gold ,silver etc in nugget form, are EXEMPT OF TAX.Sellers of non-processed nuggets from out of and or in state should not be collecting tax on nuggets.

OP9 months agoSo how does one get the selling community to only list under gold's as to preclude the taxes set upon bullion and jewelry? It means hundreds of dollars in taxes that should not be collected.

As a buyer you may be better off choosing to only search and buy from listings within the specific categories that are not taxed, rather than trying to get every seller to list in the specific category you think the seller should be using.
