Instead of notice of win, I received a bid cancellation notice

Hi, The bid that you entered for the item ( 236218050410) has been canceled. You can view the reason provided for the cancellation by selecting the (bid history) link from the individual item page. Seller was QuickShip golf and apparently they can cancel a bidding if they don't want to sell item at the winning price. The info on eBay says the bid was $.99 which is false. Item was then relisted for bidding. Is there anything a buyer can do when the seller stiffs a buyer? |

If the seller cancelled as "out of stock" or "lost or broken" the seller's account received a costly account defect. A few such defects and the seller will lose the account.
If the seller cancelled for another reason, you can report the seller here:

Sellers that routinely cancel for inappropriate reasons tend to not last very long on eBay before the account is closed, so you can avoid many issues by choosing to purchase from experienced sellers rather than sellers that have little or no experience selling.

OP1 year agothank you for the information. I have tried the indicated address for eBay but I keep getting an error message. saying try again later. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Mentor1 year agoMake sure you are using the seller's actual username when submitting that report. The username appears on the seller's classic feedback page. Try copying and pasting the username to be sure you get the correct characters.
