Was charged for item and shipping for something I did win
Seller was Asking 150 for weed eater and 150to ship. I bidded 150 and free shipping and was told I didn’t win but my credit card was charged 300 and when I tried to cancelled they said it had already shipped

Mentor2 years agoIt sounds like the listing was fixed price, and you used the Best Offer option. Best Offer is for the ITEM PRICE only. The shipping is not negotiable.
ebay is now requiring a payment method when buyers Make Offers or place bids, so the buyer will automatically be charged if the seller accepts the offer, or if the buyer ends up the winner of an auction. They are doing this to try and reduce unpaid transactions. The default for sellers is to require auto pay, but sellers can opt out by going to their buyer requirements.
