was banned from eBay in July of 21, reinstated a year later
My wife and I had been buying and selling on eBay since 1999 and were top rated sellers with 100% pos feedback at the time. eBay was initiating their new payment system instead of PayPal and asked us to upload id and bank info which we did and a couple weeks later received another request to upload the same info so I called support and they said they didn't receive any of the info from the first upload so to do it again which we did. Then we received another email wanting proof that we bought everything we were selling along with a bunch of additional id info but we were banned for life after chatting with several agents and I kept telling them I never received anything in the message system or emails as to why our account was restricted nor the new upload link to give them the info they wanted as per eBays own policy read all their self help articles to no avail and in less than 30 days from the first request for info they pulled some 80 listings down and cancelled 3 or 4 sales were in the middle of processing, held money when we didn't owe any and that's when they said we were banned from using the platform for ever and there was nothing we could do to fix it.
I couldn't help but be pretty darned angry and hurt by it but after about a year I got over it when about 1.5 years after being banned for life I received an email stating that our account had been reinstated along with all our original feedback etc.
Well I no longer trusted eBays trust and safety people and didn't initially start buying and selling again until about 9 months later when I tried to make a purchase and it was denied because our account was again restricted so I was able to talk to a real person about it and was told that I needed to update my personal info, etc and I told them nothing had changed but I would do whatever but I never received the upload link again and I called again and tgey said that I was banned again. Again with no questions answered as to why they reinstated the account just to ban me again. And they're still holding back money I don't owe them. But I still receive daily emails from eBay marketing and my feedback is still there and I can sign into my account and when I did I tried everything I could to be proactive and changed my password several times and my payment methods and bank account etc but apparently they don't know what happened to start with is that the only thing I can think of because they still tell me I can't buy or sell anything.
I'm full of questions without one answer as to what the heck is going on with them.
Any suggestions? I even read through the updated user agreement and all the new articles on buying and selling on eBay and did everything that was suggested but my account still has a red restriction notice that reads to check my messages for an explanation of why and what I need to do but there's no messages or emails about it.
Totally confused at this point. We always worked so hard to keep our top rating and 109% pos feedback and it literally makes me sick to my stomach at the amount of fraudulent listings I see every time I browse the app. I have a headache from just writing about it!
