Warranty Issues
I made a purchase in 2023 for a set of front rotors and disc pads for my 2015 Altima, the ad showed then and still shows a 5 year warranty but the seller says they can't help me with an issue with rotors due to I have used the rotors for some time but I'm below the 5 year period. Who at eBay can assist me to help me solve this issue?

If you purchased a third-party warranty, contact the warranty service directly.
eBay's money back guarantee, which is not a warranty, only applies in the first thirty days after receipt of the item.
Manufacturer's warranties typically only apply if you purchase the item from an authorized dealer; check with the manufacturer to see what your options are.
A warranty is only as good as the reputation of whoever offers it. A claim of a two year warranty made by a random seller on eBay is not worth much. Neither you nor eBay can force the seller to honor the warranty if the seller disappears or ignores you. The seller may or may not be violating policy by advertising a warranty, but such a warranty is unenforceable through eBay after thirty days, so eBay will take no action after that.
You may have some protection from your payment method; many credit cards may offer up to six months protection for your purchases. After your credit card protection expires, you have few options.

OP1 month agoSorry, as you have been using it for such a long time, I am unable to replace it for you. I hope you can understand. This is what the seller emailed me back , my main concern is they boldly advertise this item having a 5 year warranty due to it being high performance brakes and rotors. I've used them a little less than 3 years.

Mentor1 month agoWhat would you have done if the seller was no longer on eBay? Or did it not occur to you that the seller could simply disappear?

OP1 month agoI could except that, but if they're still in business and still making the same claim that the product has a 5 year warranty is my issue. Hopefully they will go out of business and won't get the chance to screw anybody else over.

When a listing shows a warranty, it's important to read the fine print as to whether it's a Seller warranty, or a manufacturer's warranty. If the Seller responded that it's too late, that implies that you will need to work with the manufacturer. Hopefully their contact details are in that listing.
Ebay will not be able to assist with this.
