warranties from seller
Purchased a catalytic converter with a 5 year warranty. Didnt last 10 months. Seller or manufacture will not respond. I guess their warranty is if it breaks in 1/2, you get to keep both halves.

When you purchased the item, did you receive any details regarding the warranty such as who to contact and how to file a claim?
Was this a seller that was a licensed dealer that sold the items on behalf of the manufacturer?
Unless the item purchased is brand new, never owned … as in from a dealer licensed to sell the product … it should be assumed there are no warranties on eBay products.
Almost all items sold on eBay have no warranty. Only items sold by factory dealers are covered. Items sold by others are second hand sales and are often not covered even if the item was never used. The buyer would have to purchase a third party warranty.

OP3 years agoItem was brand new and was sold by a company "Mr. Converter". The manufacture was "Exhaust distribution", who had a 5 year warranty on the catalytic converter. Neither one of them responds to the contact seller.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer directly?
