Want to buy . . .

Question

Does eBay have a section where people can advertise that they are interested in buying specific items? For instance, I may want to buy a specific part for my 1965 Mustang. But that part is not currently listed by anyone. Can I advertise that I am interested in buying such a part?

If so, how do you do that?

eBay has had such a thing in the past, but did away with it when users posting requests were inundated with spam and scam offers.

Instead, what you can do is create a search that only finds the part of interest and save the search if there are no results. Set the saved search to alert you if anything meeting your conditions is listed.
